CAMDEN – Funeral services for John Wayne Cook, 65, will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The Rev. Denny Haston will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Cook passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016. Born in Kershaw County, he was the son of Wila Mae Boulware and the late John C. Cook. Mr. Cook enjoyed woodworking and fishing. Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Frances Threatt Cook; son, Jason Cook of Camden; daughter, Melissa Cook of Camden; grandchildren, Morgan and McKenzie Sharp; and a sister, Brenda Parker of Camden. He was predeceased by a brother, John E. Cook.
