Mrs. McAlhaney,
I am truly sorry about your dear husband of 38 years. Please accept my deepest sympathies and some words of comfort from God's Word, the Bible.
The loss of a husband can cause much pain and feelings of loneliness, but know that you are not alone. Our merciful,heavenly Father is there for you to help you through this difficult moment. (Psalms 55:22; 121:1-3) So, please draw ever closer to and rely fully upon "the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials."~~2 Corinthians 1:3,4~~
Our loving God also purposes to bring back to life and reunite us with our loved ones who have fallen asleep in death. (John 6:40; 11:38-44) Knowing you will see your dear Charles again will hopefully bring you a large measure of peace and comfort. I will also include your family in my prayers.
