I am so sad to learn of the passing of Pastor Dave. He was a friend to my parents, Brunson and Sara Gantt and myself. We all enjoyed his sermons at Wagener Baptist Church. He was always so personable and he would always have something funny to say to me. I often told him that he reminded me of my father. He spoke at both mom and dad’s funeral services and he was a comfort to me. I can see him now talking with my mom and dad in heaven. God bless you and I’m sending prayers for the family.

Praying for all of the family. Brother Dave was a wonderful man of God and a wonderful pastor. He baptized all 4 of us in my family. I still reflect on so much of his teachings and influences on my life. He had a major impact on my salvation and Christian walk. He will be deeply missed by us all.

Rose Ann and family, We were saddened to hear of Bro. Dave's passing, he has meant so much to our family over the years. My Dad will always remember and cherish the in-home visit's from his pastor after Mom died. One of my fondest memories of Bro. Dave was on the softball field, he was not very fleet of foot, however he always seemed to get a single when up to bat. What a true blessing it was to have known him as a person and a pastor. He will be missed in our community for certain. Always remember Psalms 116:15, "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the the death of His holy ones". I'm certain that Dave heard those words that we all long to hear one day, "well done my good and faithful servant." C..Britt Pate, III and family
