Obituary of Kathleen Helen Jones

LUGOFF- A time of gathering to celebrate the life of Kathleen Helen Jones, 60, will be held Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate to a local teacher for school supplies.

     Mrs. Jones passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023. Born in Englewood, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Franklin H. and Helen Marie Trainor. Mrs. Jones taught middle school at both Alice Drive Middle School and Lugoff-Elgin Middle School. She loved her job as a teacher and enjoyed reading.

    Surviving are her husband, Murle Jones; son, Robbie Wilson of Sumter; daughter, Sophie M. Wilson of Williamston; a brother, Dwight Trainor of Houston, TX; and step-children, Ashley Jones (Garrett Brown) of Charleston, and Kyle Jones (Mandy) of Camden.
