Obituary of Edward Allen Grubbs

ELGIN- A graveside service to celebrate the life of Edward Allen Grubbs, 81, will be held Tuesday, December 6 at 10:00 a.m. in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The Rev. Gina Metts will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Carolina Children’s Home or Harvest Hope Food Bank.

    Mr. Grubbs passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. Born in Richland County, he was a son of the late George and Iris Barber Grubbs. Mr. Grubbs served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and football.

    Surviving are his siblings, Charles Grubbs (Mary Jane), Carol Bowman, Roger Grubbs, Joyce Hicks, Wanda Wessinger; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings, George Grubbs, Owens Grubbs and Marshall Grubbs.
