Geneva, I just found out today about Mr. Allen . I had the pleasure of working as his secretary for the Recreation Department and he was such a nice person. I'm truly sorry for your loss.

Doyle had a tremendous impact on my life and he will be forever missed. He was my mentor in many areas and I will miss the times we spent together doing magic and enjoying his other hobbies. I will never forget when I first met Doyle at our neighborhood park. He astounded me with a magic trick when I was a teenager & I was forever hooked on magic. He spent countless hours with me teaching me how to get better & counseled me on other issues facing teenagers. I dedicated one of my magic books to him as he inspired me to pursue my magic interests. We went on several recreational and magic trips together and I will always cherish those times. Rest in peace Doyle and I pray for his family.

To the Allen family:
Doyle's presence in the community was a beacon. He worked tirelessly on recreation projects and taught himself computers and IT, then shared that knowledge with others. He was an asset and will be sorely missed!

As a youngster growing up in Great Falls, SC, I was influenced a great deal by Doyle. He coached me in youth football, baseball, basketball, and track & field. To all us kids he was "Mr. Allen," a role model and surrogate parent. He stressed fair play and sportsmanship, and he was a tremendous asset to the community. I'll always remember the jingling noise his heavy set of keys made when he demonstrated a halfback play or a pass pattern during football practice. I always envied his ability to perform magic tricks.

To The Family of Doyle Allen, you have my condolences in the lost of Doyle, I was blessed to meet his acquaintance 50 years ago when my husband Ernie Mills worked for him at the Recreation Department of Kershaw County, and then I had the pleasure of working with him at the KCSD. May God keep you all in perfect love and peace!

Growing up in Great Falls, Mr. Allen made life a young person really great. Going to the park in the summer, playing baseball and basketball under his leadership, and watching him do magic made life more exciting. One of the most memorable memories was his presentation of a service award to me at the end of one summer. His influence over many a young person will be paid forward because of him.

Doyle and my dad, Bill Clyburn, loved their model airplanes. I can hear my dad saying Doyle this or Doyle that in reference to the models. Doyle was one of the truly nice men in this town. He will be missed.
Neva, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
