Several years ago before Martha passed away, my wife, Nancy, David, Martha and I got into one of those which comes first conversations. As was most common between us, we saw each other once every five years at our high school reunions. The focus our conversation was who did I meet first, Martha or David. We agreed it was Martha since both of us attended Lakeside School together until I transferred my Junior Year to Hot Springs High School. David and I were friends beginning about the time we were Sophomores, both at different schools. We believe we made our acquaintance through a church youth group function or the Friday dances at the "Y". Our friendship evolved into double dating. David had the car, I had the talent for arranging dates. We seemed to always make the obligatory stop for ice cream at Cook's, catch a movie in town, or just go cruising Central Avenue. When we did get together at our reunions, we picked up where we left off the reunion before. What a great person David was. And, as we evolved with our Internet skills, we shortened the timeline for contacting each other to a daily event. We had a chat group of David, David Dunham, Skip Houston, Bob Ridgeway and me. It is going to be difficult clicking the "send" button and not including Mr. Harrington in our messages. I know the next reunion I will attend with David will be for Eternity. God Bless His Soul.
