Obituary of James "Jim" Staskowski, Jr.

COLUMBIA- Funeral services for James Thomas “Jim” Staskowski, Jr., 58, will be held Friday, July 30, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Burial will be held at 4:00 p.m. in Fairview Methodist Church Cemetery, Hot Springs, N.C. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home.

    Mr. Staskowski passed away Friday, July 23, 2021. Born in Detroit, MI, he was a son of Laura Lee McDonald and the late James Thomas Staskowski, Sr. Jim was the Manager at Richland Sandhills Library and was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed reading, hiking, art, going to the opera, and loved animals.

    Surviving are his mother, Laura Lee McDonald (Lawrence); partner, Brenda Gardner of Camden; brother, Paul Staskowski (Nicole) of Mt. Horeb, WI; sister, Anne Karson (Wally Jurewicz) of Estero, FL; and niece and nephews, David Karson, Jeffrey Karson and Annelise Staskowski.
