Obituary of Nathaniel Robert Wheaton

Nathaniel Robert Wheaton, 39, of Elgin, passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2021. Born in Lexington, SC on November 19, 1981, he was the son of James Price Wheaton, Sr. and Linda Kay Wheaton, and the husband of Courtney Foster Wheaton. Nate was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Elgin. He was an avid soccer fan and video gamer. He loved his job, but above all, he loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents and wife, Nate is survived by his children, Addison Foster, Marshall Wheaton, and Caleb Weaver; his siblings, James Wheaton, Jr. (Jennifer) and Amanda Verner (Brian); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 12pm on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, officiated by Rev. Stewart Kidd. Burial will follow in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery, Elgin. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service, beginning at 10am.
