Obituary of Gerald Brown

LUGOFF – Funeral service for Gerald Lee Brown, 59, will be held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

    Mr. Brown passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2021.  Born in Barberton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Gerald and Reba Dodrill Brown.  He studied at Westside Institute of Technology in Cleveland, Ohio and was a Maintenance Learning and Precision Practice Trainer with International paper.  He enjoyed riding his Harley and rebuilding engines.

    Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Dora Estelle Garner Brown; children, Crystal Lawson (Randy) and Monte Rabon; sister, Anita; 5 grandchildren, Gabe Barrett, Chet Rabon, Blake Lawson, Leila Rabon and Jaxon Rabon; and numerous nieces and nephews.   He was predeceased by a sister, Glenda Yount.
