Hey Mrs. Dean and family...
Little Butch here, sending my deepest condolences to you all. I know it's so hard and confusing - - - please just remember that we all love you very much.
Gerry was such an amazing friend and an extremely warm and kind soul - making him a once-in-a-lifetime friend. Gerry never knew a stranger or enemy and was always a guiding light and helping hand to so many of his peers. An expert in many different crafts, he was very intelligent and knew exactly what he was talking about and doing.
Also, everybody knows he loved you with all of his being, as he made that abundantly clear each and every day. Gerry was also a huge supporter of our Veterans and he was most certainly one of the PROUDEST Americans I've ever had the privilege to meet! So proud to call him my friend. ❤️
Such an amazing man and a great Travesty to those waiting to meet him again - - - and meet again we shall - - - Good Lord willing.
Fly high and rest in peace Gerry...and please say Hi to my Daddy for me. I know yall are looking out for us and shining your guiding light for all of us to better heal and understand this new life...especially during these trying times... I know I need it right now more than ever.. . But I'll be with you guys again one day, when my time is up - and when that happens, I hope to just wake up in a lawn chair with yall roasting a pig and playing Acey/Duecey or some other poker hand....lord knows he knew when to hold em and when to fold em. Just like Daddy did. They both taught me SO VERY MUCH!!!
Until we meet again old friend, Rest in Paradise, Gerry.
Butch Floyd, III (Little Butch)
