Obituary of Janie C. Irick

CAMDEN – A service to celebrate the life of Janie Carlton “Nana” Irick, 73, will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

    Mrs. Irick passed away at KershawHealth on Wednesday, May 12, 2021.  Born in Philadelphia, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Robert Louis and Serena Constance Foti Carlton.  She retired from the Savage, Royall and Sheheen Law Firm and was a member of St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church.  She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed going to the beach, reading and was an avid Clemson Football fan.

    Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Delmar Francis Irick; sons, Matt Irick (Lori) of Camden and Randy Irick (Dolly) of Camden; brother, Robert Carlton (Jeanne) of Lexington; and grandchildren, Abby Irick, Avery Irick, Sean Irick and Cole Irick.
