Thanksgiving at my Aunt Janie's house was a staple for the Carlton family. It was something we all looked forward to every year--catching up with our cousins and enjoying a wonderful feast with family and friends in Camden, South Carolina. My Father had a very special bond with his dear Sister. She was there for him during tough times throughout his childhood. When I spent time with my Aunt I could tell that she was strong-willed, but also maternalistic, devoted and affectionate. I think I can speak for our entire Family when I say that we will always cherish the fond memories made together. She will be sorely missed. Very difficult when you lose your only sibling, you're big sister to boot. Growing up you were always a stabilizing force in an otherwise chaotic world. When it was just us, and that was often, I could always count on you being there. I lost a large piece of heart when I heard of you're passing. I only wish I had been able to visit more but was afraid because of Covid to risk comprising you're health anymore. We all love you very much, we will miss you but take comfort in knowing your pain and suffering have ceased! Give mom a big hug! I love you sis!
