ELGIN – A funeral service for Christopher Richard Sutton, 32, will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Bethel Worship Center with burial to follow in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens. Pastor Casey Mill will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4-6 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Chris passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021. Born in Anderson, S.C., he was a son of Scott Richard Sutton and Lorie Ann Garrison Sutton. Chris served in the U.S. Army and attended Bethel Worship Center. He loved spending time with his family and especially his children. Chris was a tech wiz and enjoyed gaming, motorcycles and weight lifting. Surviving are his wife, Ashley Lasley Sutton; children, Jocelynne, Skylar and Benjamin Sutton; parents, Scott and Lorie Sutton; siblings, Chase Sutton (Alexandra), Micah David, nephew, Caitlin Sutton, Anthony, nephew; paternal grandparents, John and Maggie Sutton; and maternal grandmother, Betty Jean Radford. He was predeceased by an uncle, Jason Thomas Garrison and a maternal grandfather, Jack Garrison.
