LUGOFF – Funeral service for Gloria Marlene Peake, 66, will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with a visitation 1hr prior. Burial will follow the service in Branham-Hayes Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. Ms. Peake passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2020. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late Horace Laverne Moore and Mary Lee Ellen Oswalt Moore. She was a caregiver to her family and a best friend to many. Marlene was a wonderful mother and was lovingly known as “Mimi”. Surviving are her children, Crystal Peake Price (Patrick), Shawn Peake, Michelle Nelson, Melissa Nelson, and Richard Nelson; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; long-time companion, Charlie Nelson; brother, Darryl Moore (Tammy); sisters, Patricia Baker and Donna Andrews (Murray); and sister-in-law, Martha Moore. She was predeceased by her brother, Michael Moore; and brother-in-law, Leon Baker.
