Ryan, not only were you a great son, grandson, nephew, and boyfriend, you were my bestfriend. Everyone who met you loved you. They instantly fell in love with you as so did I. Your mom, Windy, Steven, Uncle Russ, Aunt Debbie, and Morgan all miss you. We know you're up there grinning about all of the attention you are getting. You never leave our thoughts and prayers. Just know that we love you and we can not wait to see you again some day. I love you.

Ryan and I shared a good rapport. He called me "Big Dog" and I called him "Little Dog" and we shared a sense of humor that was special. He was a JROTC cadet at Camden High School for at least four semesters. He was an independent and hard working young man and I respected him deeply for his work ethic. He spoke to me often about his car and his dream of being a third generation US Army man, who desired to walk in the footsteps of his grandfather and father. I was looking forward to day that I would see him in the US Army uniform and return his salute. I am deeply saddened by this tragic loss and will keep you, the family and Sydney in my prayers. Again let me say that I will miss Ryan. I enjoyed speaking to you at the visitation and if you need me for something, just call my number on the military card I provided you. COL(ret) Tim Webb

I will miss him alot. Even though we never spoke to one another, i saw a soldier in him. It saddens me that the JROTC lost a hard working cadet. From the entire JROTC battalion, we will miss you.

I did not know Ryan, but my heart goes out his family. My son is a senior at Camden, and knew Ryan. He tells me that Ryan was "pretty cool." I simply want to let you know that you are in my prayers. I cannot begin to imagine the hurt. However, I do know the love of God. I do know that He is with you every step of the way. I pray that His love and His mercy be with each of you and that you somehow find peace.

Cheryl, We are so sorry for your loss. I'm sure that he and grandparents, Myrtle and CV and Iren and Lawrence are having a family reunion about now. They loved him so much. You are such a wonderful loving and caring person and I know that God's grace is sufficient for such a time as this. He sacrificed His only Son that your son, Ryan, would be able to have life eternal! Grief is an emotion, something that none of us can handle on our own, but with God we can "WILL TO WILL HIS WILL"! May our Lord's love, mercy and grace substain you and your lovely family through the coming days ahead. Love, Darlene Gaddy

I am sorry to hear of your loss. The death of a loved one is one of the most devastating experiences a human can face. At times, the loss can seem unbearable. The Bible teaches: "God is near to those broken at heart." It also says: "throw your burden upon God himself and he himself will sustain you." (Psalm 34:18 and 55:22) I hope this message will offer some comfort in your time of sadness.
