RIDGEWAY – Funeral service for Douglas Benjamin Jones, 91, will be held Monday at 3:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Ridgeway Ward with burial to follow in Centerville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ridgeway Cemetery Association, PO Box 778, Ridgeway, SC 29130. Mr. Jones died Thursday, June 20, 2013. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Dewey Lee and Ida Mae Guinn Jones. He served in the United States Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he served as the Ward Clerk for Many years. He had a passion for helping others. Surviving are his daughters, Virginia Elaine Sessions of Ridgeway and Anne Adelle Mull of Caldwell, Idaho; sister, Evelyn Nadine Crain; 6 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Lewis A. Jones.
