I stopped by McDonalds and ran into Mr. Lynch and I look back on it as I had a feeling then that this may be the last time I see him. I did shake his hand and give him a hug and will remember that day also as a day of shaking the hand of a real man that took his shirt off his back to help a boy like me to become a man. I hope to do the same for someone else. Again he will be missed and I wish I would have known at the time of the death. I would have attended. Stay strong and remember if you ever need me to come home, just pick up the phone and call. Love you!!

I put son, because that is what he always called me. He could be driving that forklift at Dupont and I would be pulling my little red wagon of paint and supplies by his area. "Son" I would hear and know it was him. I could be at a ball game during the 80's at Lugoff Elgin or maybe at church. You and Lou took me in while my father was in rehab for the life changing event he was having from a fall he had. But a true life exchanging event was being brought into your home as one of your own. I am the one that introduce your children to "POP TARTS", but you two were a childs dream to have as parents and I was able to exprience this for a short while under your roof. I happen to be in Lugoff a few months back as I was traveling in my current job now through NC, SC and GA.

Mrs. James Anne and Family. I did not get the previlege to know Lou as others have. I have met him on ocassions and he always had a smile on his face. Mike (his brother) always talked about Lou and had many laughing moments about stories Mike would tell us in the registration department at Kershaw Health. Mike loves his family and he would always keep us informed of Lou's as well as yourself with your health. I will keep you all in my prayers as you get over this difficult time. May God carry you through the miles ahead. Your memories of Lou will always keep him alive.

Dear Family,
Just wanted to tell you how sorry I was to hear of Lou's passing. I grew up with Lou, and I have to tell you, as I am sure that you already know, there was nothing pretentious about Lou. He was always the same whereever you saw him. He had a heart of gold and his smile was so sincere, I don't think that I have ever seen Lou when he wasn't smiling and upbeat. I remember him coming in the hospital with his heart, and he was just Lou. I saw him about 2 weeks ago at Wal Mart and it was obvious that he had lost weight. He was in good spirits though. When I asked him how he was, he said that he was having a "little" problem with his sodium, but doing ok. I never dreamed that it would be the last time that I saw him. He was one of the ones taken too soon.
God Bless You all. You are in my prayers.
In His Love,
Janice Rogers

You were by Lou's side through it all and he will be "saving a place for you" in Heaven. Think of it as if he were just in the next room and that one day you will join him. He is well and whole and happy and active again. This gives me comfort when I grieve for my Alex. Stay busy. Your profession is a blessing because there is never an end to our "work".
