Obituary of William Dixon

CAMDEN – Funeral services for Bill Dixon, 86, will be held Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at First Church of the Nazarene, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park with full military honors. Rev. David Snodgrass, Rev. Casey Mills, and Rev. Hoke Robinson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:30am – 12:00pm at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Nazarene Compassionate Ministries Fund. Mr. Dixon passed away January 21, 2017. Born in Kershaw County, SC, on July 14, 1930, he was the son of the late Joe Dixon and Lizzie Twitty Dixon. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and retired from the U.S. Army after 21 years of service. Mr. Dixon was the former owner of Palmetto Fencing. Surviving are his wife, Mary Dease Dixon; grandchildren, Scotty (Kimberly) Dixon, Christopher (Courtney) Dixon, Nathan (Brittany) Noll, and Sylvia Douglas; great-grandchildren, McKinley Dixon, William Dixon, Kayla Dixon, Richard Dixon, and Mark Noll.
