We regret we were unable to attend the memorial service due to a prior family commitment. Deb was one of the most loving caring women we've ever had the privilege of knowing. Corey thought of her as a second mom. She was always so very thoughtful in everything she ever did in life - that is a rare quality. We continue to pray for Scott, Lindsey, and especially Aaron who Corey misses terribly. We pledge our support to them for anything they need in the upcoming months. Much love and prayers.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Baughman family. Debbie is a part of so many memories of shared times of laughter...not only from years ago when she and I were on the band together, but from times we spent volunteering as band parents when our daughters were at L-E. I believe the sincere joy that always radiated from her has been a gift from God that touched so many people. Allow God's grace to comfort and heal you.

Dear Bev, Scott, Lindsey and Aaron,
We have all lost one of the most beautiful souls ever to have existed in this world. I cannot remember a time when Debbie was not my friend. I know that nothing I can say will help you in this time, except that although we cannot see her now, Heaven is a better and brighter place because of her presence there now.
I love you all very much, and even though I cannot be with you in person, my heart will always be with you and with Debbie.
Love and prayers,
Billie Jean McCoy-Cross

Dear Scott, Lindsey and Aaron: I remember Debbie mostly from Lugoff-Elgin High, as we were in the band together. We spent so many GOOD years together. She was one grade behind me, but I always felt as though we were the same age because of her special friendship. I saw her several years ago at a school function, and she knew exactly who I was. She was so interested in my family and was so proud of her family. She shared with me how you guys were doing, and she told me all about you. I will always remember her sweet smile and contagious laugh. My prayers are with you.

Debbie was such a wonderful person. Her kind heart and gentle smile was one thing that helped our son, Zack, get through his year in kindergarten. She was like a second mom to him. She had a way to make all the children feel loved and special in her own little way. She will be missed sincerely. All prayers go to the family. We pray for complete recovery. May God be with you every step of the way.

Scott, Lindsey and Aaron, I met Debra when Aaron was in my class at Lugoff Elementary. She was the kind of room mother you always wish for! She always helped our class when we needed anything. But that's the kind of person she was. Always helping out others. She will be greatly missed, but always remembered fondly. Our prayers are with your family at this sad time. May God bless you and give you strength.

We were all so blessed every morning when we dropped our children off at Wateree. She set the tone for the day. She was so warm and loving to the children and always had a smile for parents. She made me feel thankful that my grandchildren went to her school. She was a special lady and I pray for her family to find strengh and comfort. I thank God that we had her in our life even if it was for a short time and I will never forget that smile and that wave that she gave me every morning when I drove out to start my day.It just made everything feel so right with the world, I will miss her too!

Comforting words have been written on these pages and I add to them, mine. Debbie was a unique child of the King in that she took her assignment from the Lord seriously. Love others as you love yourself. No greater tribute could be made about her than this. How pleasing she was in that love to our Heavenly Father and of course, to us, her friends and family. She was Jesus to us. I know she is rejoicing with Him now. He will give you all you need as you walk day by day on this difficult path. Much love to you all. Lee

Our thoughts and prayers are with Ms. Baughman's family. We will miss her greatly. Each and every morning she greeted us in the carpool circle with a beautiful smile. She was always there when Aaron needed encouragement in getting out of the car. He will miss her being in the Library to help him find books and give him a hug. I know that the first day back at school will be hard for all the Wateree family. But with God's help we will all be encouraged to know she is our guardian angel. May God bless you.

Scott, Lindsey and Aaron, Our hearts are broken for you at this time. We loved Debbie very much. She was always saying, "I just love you guys." From 1999-2001, she helped me through a rough time by just meeting with me to drink coffee at the McDonald's in Lugoff. And I'll never forget when she would get so tickled - she could make anybody laugh! She was a sweet, caring person to every child (even some that drove her crazy!). We continue to pray for you all daily.
