LUGOFF – A celebration of life service for Johnny Lee Robinson, 46, will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. The Rev. Matt Galloway will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friendship Baptist Church Youth Program. Mr. Robinson died on Sunday, May 22, 2016. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Mazie Bryson Robinson and the late Daniel Kirkland Robinson. He was currently employed with the South Carolina Department of Corrections. He was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife, Barbara Jean Catoe “Barbie” Robinson; his mother, Mazie Robinson (Thomas, Jr.) of Kershaw; children, Brittany Nicole Peagler (Holly), Nikki Lee Robinson (Terrance), Joseph Neal Robinson, Marcos Allen Catoe, Christopher Michael Dowey (Ally Jo), Corey Scott Dowey (Erica), and Courtney Marissa Dowey (Stephanie LeAnn); sister, Rachel Mackey (Ricky); brother, Bobby Robinson; 12 grandchildren; and father and mother-in-law, Allen Wayne and Myriam Catoe. He was predeceased by a brother, Michael Robinson.
