LUGOFF – Funeral service for Connie Hall Lane, 74, will be held on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Fox Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Joe Stines will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2:30-4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Lane passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016. Born in Hartsville, she was the daughter of Winnie Mae Johnson Hatchell and the late William Hatchell. She enjoyed floral arranging, cooking and bird and squirrel watching. Surviving are her husband, Alton H. Lane; mother, Winnie Mae Hatchell of Hartsville; daughters, Tammy L. Conover (Brian) of Lugoff and Connie Flood (Tim) of Lexington; son, Alton Lane Jr. (Lucy) of Batesburg-Leesville; brother, William Hatchell; sister, Sheila Hicks; 7 grandchildren, Christy Bochette (Mitch), Casey Conover (April), B.J. Flood, Timothy Lane (Aleshia), Corey Conover (Ashley), Jakob Lane (Renee), Patience Hook (Zack); and 9 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sister, Faye Wallace.
