Obituary of Larry G. Goff
ELGIN – Graveside service for Larry Gerald “ Bonehead” Goff Sr., 73, will be held Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. The Rev. Brian Ogburn, the Rev. George Cashwell and Allan Martin will officiate. The family will receive friends at the home. Memorials may be made to the Olympia Cemetery Fund c/o St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 1127 Olympia Avenue, Columbia, S.C. 29201 or Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church, 2290 Heath Pond Road, Elgin, S.C. 29045.
Mr. Goff died Monday, January 28, 2013. Born on August 10, 1939, in Columbia, he was the son of the late Heyward Henry and Ora Neeley Goff. He graduated from Olympia High School in 1957 and retired from Springs Industries, Olympia Plant after 36 years. He was a member of Sandlapper Racing Pigeon Club.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Pat Cothran Goff; daughters, Diane Godbold (Jimmy) and Vicki Lardin; sons, Michael Goff (TerriLynn) and Gerald Goff (Wendy), all of Elgin; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Lannie Goff (Joanne) and Heyward Goff (Deloris) of Springdale, S.C., and Bruce Goff of Columbia; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Corbett Goff.
