Obituary of Wilma D. Keith

LUGOFF – Funeral service for Wilma Dinkins Keith, 92, will be held on Monday 11:00 a.m. at Rowan Presbyterian Church with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Stephen Jordan will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rowan Presbyterian Church, 818 Ridgeway Road, Lugoff, S.C. 29078. Mrs. Keith, wife of the late Rembert Keith, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016. Born in Lugoff, she was the daughter of the late Hollie L. Dinkins and Burdette Parker Dinkins. She retired from the US Department of Agriculture. She was a life member of Rowan Presbyterian Church and a member of the Rowan Women of the Church. Mrs. Keith enjoyed cooking, making fig and pear preserves, and shopping. Surviving are her son, R. Michael Keith (Kathy) of Lyman; grandchildren, Jason M. Keith (Kate) of Bicester Oxfordshire, England, Melinda K. Seibert (Daniel) of Greenbelt, Md., Sherry L. Faulkenberry (Will) of Lancaster, and Karen R. McClain of Central; and great-grandchildren, Logan Faulkenberry, Karli Faulkenberry, Austin Keith, Gage Hutchinson, Evan Michael Keith, and Elizabeth Grace Keith. She was predeceased by son, Robert L. Keith; brothers, Jasper O. “Jack” Dinkins and Hollie L. Dinkins, Jr.; and sister, Eloise D. “Weesie” Coker. The family extends a special thanks to South Carolina Hospice and Palliative Care in Spartanburg and Ashlan Village in Lyman, S.C. for their loving care.
