ELGIN – Funeral services for Lillie Mae Davis, 97, will be held Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Davis Family Cemetery, 1234 Nichols Lane, Cassatt, SC 29032. The Rev. Steve Sanders will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Davis, wife of the late John A. Davis, Sr., passed away April 20, 2016. Born in Richland County, she was a daughter of the late Lee David and Virgie Martin Peake. Mrs. Davis was a devoted Christian. She enjoyed Gardening and Reading. Surviving are her children, Joyce Harvill of Elgin, Donnie Davis of Elgin, Virginia LaValley (John) of Easthampton, MA, Amy Edenburn (David) of Hartsville; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, John A. Davis, Jr., and siblings, Beatrice Norton, Lizzie, Sam, Leroy, Colie, Red, Bobby and Buck Peake.
