LUGOFF- Funeral services for Floyd L Jackson, 84, of Lugoff, will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Springvale Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Todd Horton will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2-3 p.m. at the church. Floyd, husband of the late Laverne Rabon Jackson, went home to be with the Lord on March 31, 2016. He is survived by his son, Tim Jackson and his wife Brenda Mills Jackson of Heath Springs, SC; and grandson, Will L Jackson and his wife Kimberly S Jackson of Clemson, SC. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, John E Jackson and Blanche S Jackson. He is also preceded in death by a grandson, Benjamin Adam Jackson, as well as 11 brothers and sisters. Floyd was a loving husband and father and he loved all of his extended family. He also loved his church Springvale Baptist in Lugoff where he served as a Teacher, Choir member, Deacon as well as other roles. Floyd was blessed throughout his life and humbly and selflessly followed God’s direction and call in his life and set an example to be followed. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Charles And Evon Jackson, Frankie Dowey, the staff at Pinedale Assisted Living, Camden, and the staff at KershawHealth, for their, love, care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the building fund at Springvale Baptist church in Lugoff.
