CASSATT – Funeral service for Tracy James Hinson, 72, will be held on Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Hebron Freewill Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Jack Cobb will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Mt. Hebron Freewill Baptist Church. Mr. Hinson passed away on Friday, March 25, 2016. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Tracey Willie and Mary Branham Hinson. He retired as an electrician and carpenter and was a member of Mt. Hebron Freewill Baptist Church. He was an avid NASCAR fan and John Wayne fan. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Linda Broom Hinson; children, Sherri Hall (Tony) of Camden, Kenny Hinson (Carolyn) of Camden, David Hinson (Amanda) of Cassatt, Sharon Moody (Eddie) of Williston, and Sheila Furman (Sam) of Camden; brothers, Fronice “Bubber” Hinson and Tony Hinson; sister, Betty Jo McCaskill-Jackson; 20 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Bobby McCaskill.
