CASSATT – Funeral services for William Alvin Hall, 85, will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Beaverdam Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Homer Hinson and Rev. Steve Leigh will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beaverdam Baptist Church Nursery, 1684 Old Georgetown Rd West, Cassatt, S.C. 29032. Mr. Hall died Sunday, January 20, 2013. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Murdock C. and Jessie Tidwell Hall. He was a member of Beaverdam Baptist Church, and enjoyed hunting and watching ballgames, especially his Atlanta Braves. Surviving are his son, Richard Hall (Jenny) of Cassatt; daughters, Sandra Hall, Teresa Davis, and Carol Hunter, all of Cassatt; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dalton Hall. He was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn Morris Hall; son-in-laws, Jimmy Davis, and Mike Hunter; brothers, Jack Cooper, Barney Cooper, Buck Hall; sisters, Annie Ray, Leila Anderson, Mae Outen, Coleen Baker, and Christine Hall.
