CAMDEN – Funeral service for Vanessa Olivia McCray, 37, will be held on Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Union Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Vanessa passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of Jeanette Hawkins McCray and the late Herbert Lenwood McCray, Sr. She was a 1997 graduate of Crestwood High School in Sumter. She was a member of Union Baptist Church in Rembert and enjoyed gardening and listening to music. Surviving are her mother Jeanette McCray of Rembert; sister, Robin Bennett (Jonathan) of Rembert; brothers, Herbert L. McCray Jr. (Stephanie) of Scott A.F.B. and Ivan Keith McCray of Rembert; nephews, Avery Bennett and Andre Bennett; and niece, Sydney McCray.
