COLUMBIA – A memorial service for Robert Bradford Kay, 91, will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. A private burial will be held at a later date. Pastor Tony Rowell will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Culinary Institute of America. Mr. Kay, husband of the late Arlene Hale Kay, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Morris G. “Marvin” and Louise Miller Kay. Mr. Kay was a member of the Bar Association and a lifelong enthusiast of the culinary arts. Surviving are his son, Robert B. Kay, Jr. (Tiffany) of Elgin; step-son, Robert Webb of Roanoke, VA; and 3 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers, Lewis, Marvin, and Richard “Dick” Kay.
