Hartsville – A graveside service for Isla Burnette Altman Fox, 88, will be held Thursday at 3:30 p.m. in Darlington Memory Gardens. Pastor Dave Worthington will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to South Hartsville Baptist Church. Mrs. Fox, wife of the late Ross Fox, Jr., passed away Monday, February 8, 2016. Born in Mullins, she was the daughter of the late Bruce and Lillie Thomas Altman. Mrs. Fox graduated with a Bachelor’s in Music, English, and Spanish from Florida Southern University, and went on to retire as a South Carolina school teacher, teaching many years at Carver Elementary in Florence, S.C. She was a member of South Hartsville Baptist Church. Mrs. Fox enjoyed reading, playing piano, and crocheting. Surviving are her children, Paulette Burr (Jim) of Camden, Ross Fox III of Hartsville; grandchildren, Erich Haskell (Kelly) and Kristi Sargent (Jonathan); and great-granddaughters, Rylie, Ellis, Brynn and Maddie.
