LUGOFF – Funeral services for Mary Alice Rabon Beaty, 95, will be held Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. at Faith Church of the Nazarene, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Scott Crandall will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11-12 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Church of the Nazarene, or The Gideon’s International. Mrs. Beaty, wife of the late Leon H. Beaty, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016. Born in Camden, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Alma Jackson Rabon. Mrs. Beaty was a member of Faith Church of the Nazarene, where she was very active. She enjoyed reading and working puzzles. Surviving are her son, Leon Thomas “Tom” Beaty (Kathleen) of CT.; grandchildren, Thomas Beaty, Gregory Beaty, and Kieran Beaty; great-grandchild, Alyssa Sofia Beaty; brother, Marvin Rabon (Doris) of Camden; and sisters, Dorothy Baker of Camden, Carol Williams of Tampa, FL, Polly Roberts of Selma, AL., and Juanita Hocutt of Arab, AL. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Lea Cavallier, Luna Clark, Joan Williamson, and Elaine Garner for their special care of Mrs. Beaty.
