CAMDEN – Funeral service for The Rev. Ruby E. Truesdale, 84, will be held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Lugoff Church of God with burial to follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Tony Barnes will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home and other times at 797 Hermitage Mill Pond Road, Camden, S.C. Memorials may be made to World Challenge Inc., P,O. Box 260, Lindale, TX 75771. Pastor Truesdale, wife of the late Rev. Barney O. Truesdale, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013. Born in Kershaw County, she was the daughter of the late Laimen Calhoun and Arlevia Twitty Thompson. She served as a pastor of Bible Faith tabernacle in Camden. Surviving are daughter, Kathy L. Owens of Camden; sons, Samuel Odell Truesdale (Cathy) of Pelion, Barney Joseph Truesdale (Nancy) of Camden, Mark Alonzo Truesdale (Melanie) of Camden; and Tommy Truesdale of Camden; brother, William Thompson (Brenda) of North Carolina; sisters, Naomi Clinton of Camden, Sylvia Snipes of Camden, and Mary Louise Ham of Camden; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
