CAMDEN – A service to celebrate the life of Janet Catoe Rogers, 83, will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Hermitage Baptist Church. The Rev. Jason Fletcher and the Rev. Jamie Rogers will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Hermitage Baptist Church, Reveal God’s Plan, 814 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Camden, SC 29020. Mrs. Rogers passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at home on Friday, January 15, 2016. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late Hollis Lewis and Ola Fannie Hicks Catoe. She was former owner of Jan’s Casuals and W&J Sales and Service. Mrs. Rogers was an active member of Hermitage Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and loved serving with her church family. She enjoyed camping, fishing, crafts, and most of all spending time with her family. Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Wofford Rogers Sr.; children, Wofford Rogers Jr. of Bishopville, Wanda Campbell (Jeff) of Camden, Patty Rogers (Jimmy) of Bishopville, Sandra Cobb (Terry) of Camden; and Glenda Trotter of Camden; sister, Emmaleen Lucas of Camden; 13 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sister, Helen Baker; brothers, James Catoe, Hollis T. Catoe, Harvey Catoe, Hallet Catoe, Stanley Catoe, Jack Catoe, and Olin Cecil Catoe; and a son-in-law, Jamie Trotter.
