Obituary of Phillip Grant Collins

ELGIN – Funeral service for Phillip Grant Collins, 70, will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Joe Stines will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Legion Post 195 or the VFW. Mr. Collins passed away on Monday, January 04, 2016. Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late William Collins and Jeanette Collins Mayes. He served in the United States Air Force and retired from DuPont. He was a member of the American Legion Post 195 and the VFW #11079. Surviving are his daughters, Tonya Collins of Summerville, Karen Collins of England, and Tammy Collins of Florida; son, Mark Collins (Jeanette) of Summerville; brother, William D. Collins of Louisiana; sister, Susan Collins Ward of Charleston; and 6 grandchildren.
