LUGOFF – Funeral service for Annie Juanita Koon Aldrich, 86, will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Concord Baptist Church with burial to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Concord Baptist Church, 2211 Porter Cross Road, Lugoff, SC 29078. Mrs. Aldrich, wife of the late Clarence N. Aldrich, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 26, 2015. Born in Lugoff, she was the daughter of the late James Henry and Susie Ruth Koon. She retired from the South Carolina Department of Mental Health and was a member of Concord Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening. Surviving are her daughters, Ruth Lavelle Aldrich Kirkland (William D. Jr.) of Lugoff, Myra Gayle Aldrich Kirkland of Lugoff, and Greta Renee Aldrich Anderson (David Lee) of Lugoff; 7 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Sarah McKenzie; son-in-law, James E. Kirkland; and a great-granddaughter, Emilee Leslie Hall.
