Obituary of Clevelan Wilson

CAMDEN – Funeral services for Mr. Clevelan Levan “Cleve” Wilson, 81, will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, S.C. with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Burtch Kelly will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to KershawHealth Hospice. Mr. Wilson passed away Saturday, December 12, 2015. Born in the Antioch Community of Kershaw County on October 13, 1934, he was the son of the late James Mark and Janie Bell Collins Wilson. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Emma Arlene Tidwell Wilson; children, Catherine Elmore (Clay), Steve Wilson (Gayle), Kimberly Sanchez (Rusty), Lisa Wilson; brothers, William L. Wilson, Lewis “Sparky” Wilson (Rachel); sisters, Geneva Paul, Margaret Reyes (Henry), and Alma Griffin; grandchildren, Janie Unsworth (Josh), Anna Gardner, Emily Gardner, Stephen Wilson (William), Stephanie Wilson, Graham Wilson, Todd Leitzsey (Samantha), Brad Leitzsey (Amber), Catherine Justice (Edward); great-grandchildren, Cate, Maddie, Molly, Zachary, Caleb, Logan, Jacob, Emma, and Baby Ellison; and also many nieces, nephews and their spouses and children. He was predeceased by a sister, Virginia Brazell; and brothers, James F. Wilson and Huey Wilson. The family would like to extend a special thanks to special niece Frances “Cricket” Hall for her help and care of Uncle Cleve and Aunt Pete during their time of need, and KershawHealth Hospice and most especially, Rev. Brian Ogburn, Ali Christianson, Jim Rabb, Ruth Stephenson, and Dawn Johnson for their excellent and loving care.
