LUGOFF – Funeral service Harvest Murphy, 56, will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthews Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Charles Davis will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Mr. Murphy passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2015. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Joe Lee, Jr. and Helen Murphy. He was a great mechanic and enjoyed basketball, gardening, swimming and caring for animals. Surviving are his step-son, Dwayne Stevenson; siblings, Jerry N. Murphy (Donna), Eric M. Martin (Leon), Michael Lee, Marvin Lee (Sue), Kenneth Lee, Sr., Beverly Lee-Robinson (Wallace), Marvin Lee, Sr. (Cynthia), Jeffrey Lee, Sr. (Joi), Angela Canzater-Griggs; 2 grandchildren; and a host of uncles, aunts nieces, nephews, cousins and special friend, Judy Harris. He was predeceased by his wife, Alberta Murphy; and a brother, Lambert R. Murphy.
