LUGOFF – Funeral service for Nancy Katherine Mayes Williams, 79, will be held on Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Springvale Baptist Church with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Todd Horton will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Springvale Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 880, Lugoff, S.C. 29078. Mrs. Williams, wife of the late Earl H. Williams, died Saturday, January 12, 2013. Born in Church Road, Va., she was a daughter of the late Joel Harrison and Betty Martin Hatfield Mayes. She was an Interior Decorator. Mrs. Williams was a member of Springvale Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, served as assistant treasurer and served on the building committee. She was a member of the Camden Country Club. Surviving are her sons, David P. Williams (Caroline Collins) of Matthews, N.C. and Kenneth M. Williams (Neesa Allmond) of Fitzgerald, Ga.; daughter, Linda Davis (Zemp) of Wake Forest, N.C.; brothers, George Franklin Mayes (Melvin) of Jacksonville, Fla. and Rev. Dr. William White Mayes (Bettie) of Buena Vista, Va.; sister, Hattie Cox of Richmond, Va.; 7 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; and 3 step-great-grandchildren.
