CAMDEN – A funeral service to celebrate the life of Edward Earl Morris, 79, will be held Monday at 5:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The Rev. Tommy Bowers and the Rev. Larry Zanger will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4-5 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Morris passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015. Born in Craven County, N.C., he was a son of the late Albert Edward and Virginia Dunn Morris. Mr. Morris was a member of Cross and The Sword Church. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Margie Baker Morris; son, Thomas Earl Morris of Camden; daughters, Wanda Morris Taylor (Johnny) of Kershaw, Ellen Thorpe (Mike) of Camden; brothers, Carol Morris of Oklahoma, Dan Morris (Yadeta) of Columbia, Mark Morris of Newborn, N.C.; sisters, Margie Jones (William) of Newborn, N.C., Betty Sondis of Pampleco County, N.C., Evelyn Stevens of Washington; Sadie Ann Morris (Preston) of Pampleco County, N.C.; 8 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, Otis Ray Morris, George Morris, Michael David Morris; and a sister, Jeanie Lee Morris.
