CAMDEN – Funeral service for John Lawson Branham, 76, will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery. The Rev. David Snodgrass will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene, 2276 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Camden, SC 29020. Mr. Branham passed away on Monday, October 26, 2015. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Robert and Carrie Bell Spires Branham. He retired from Young’s Food Stores where he was a supervisor and was a self-employed painter. He had a love for music and played the guitar in a local gospel group. Surviving are his wife of 18 years, Charlotte Paul Branham; step-sons, Johnny Mitchum and Robert Mitchum; brother, Robert “Bobby” Branham; sisters, Josephine Branham, Ellen Stokes and Phyllis Hayes; grandchildren, Dustin Branham and Dylan Branham; 5 step-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by sons, Johnny Branham Jr. and Dwight L. Branham; brothers, LeGrand Branham, Charles Branham, Olin Branham, William Branham and Steve Branham.
