BISHOPVILLE – Funeral service for Shirley Ann McPherson Kirkland, 76, will be held on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church, 3403 Lee State Park Road, Bishopville, S.C. 29010. The family will receive friends on Monday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church. Mrs. Kirkland passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2015. Born in Blaney, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Maggie Brazell McPherson. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church for 34 years. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and her beloved companion, “Bear”. Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Rev. Arlin Kirkland; children, Darlene Kirkland Plummer (Jimmy) of Elgin, Vicky Kirkland Marsh (Will) of Rembert, Rev. Olin J. Kirkland (Kem) of Rembert, Tracy Kirkland Pennington (John) of Elgin, and Melissa Kirkland Arledge (Jackie) of Bishopville; sister, Mary M. Kirkland of Lugoff; grandchildren, Kelly Madden (Phil), Jamie Plummer (Karrie), Jessica Plummer, Hannah Marsh, Haley Marsh, Taylor Kirkland, Brantley Kirkland, Brent Lattimore, Cody Lattimore, Hope Stayman (Nicholas), Erin Boyce (Daniel), Heather Champe (Christopher), Sidney Arledge, Mackensie Arledge and Hunter Arledge; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sisters, Annie Mae Brazell and Evelyn Branham; brothers, Norwood McPherson and Malcolm McPherson; great-grandchildren, Kathryn Champe, Wyatt Hancock, Ethan Hancock and Kayla Hancock. “It Is Well, With My Soul”
