Winnsboro – A celebration of life service for Robert Ray Medley, 66, will be held Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at El Bethel Faith Community Church. The Rev. Joe Stines will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Mr. Medley passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015. Born in Fairfield County, he was a son of the late Robert and Ethel Harwell Medley. Mr. Medley was a member of El-Bethel Faith Community Church. He was an AA Supporter and enjoyed playing the guitar and spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife of 47 1/2 years, Peggy Wigington Medley, daughter, Rachelle Ballenger (Kris) of Blythewood; son, Richie Medley of Winnsboro; brothers, Steve Medley (Debbie), Donnie Medley (Patty); sisters, Pat Harmon (David), Linda Dakin, Bonnie West, Betty Hicks (Ronnie); grandchildren, Brittany Mckinney, Raquel Dixon, Tony Gibson, Alex Tanner, Kayla Cook, Hunter Ballenger, Ana-Rachel Ballenger, Brayden Medley, and a great-grandchild, Maci Gibson. He was predeceased by a daughter, Rachel Gibson; a brother, Roger Medley, and a sister, Kay Brown.
