COLUMBIA – Funeral services for Al Ronald “Ronnie” Mintz, 58, will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lugoff First Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Ernest Barnes will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to PETA. Mr. Mintz passed away Saturday, October 10, 2015. Born in Burgaw, N.C., he was a son of the late Alec and Ruth Iva Mintz. Mr. Mintz was the owner and operator of Affordable Tree Service which he loved doing. He enjoyed fishing and working on trucks. Surviving are his companion of 33 years, Yvonne Michelle “Mitzi” Brown; sisters, Margie Williams of Camden, Cheryl Gregerson of Camden, Dawn Jarrett of Eastover, Alanna Gayle Hunnings of Lenore, N.C.; brothers, Michael Mintz (Tina) of Tenn., Charles Biddix of N.C.; and numerous nephews, nieces and great nephews and nieces.
