ELGIN – Funeral services for Jerry Michael Grigsby, 62, will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Union Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the America Cancer Society. Mr. Grigsby, husband of the late Donna Anne Grigsby, passed away September 28, 2015. Born in Columbia, he was a son of the late Owens W. Grigsby, Sr. and Susie Gardner Grigsby. He retired from S.C. pipeline after 36 years. Mr. Grigsby was a member of Union Baptist Church and the Bell Bottom Hunting Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching NASCAR, and spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Surviving are his daughter, Bonnie Faye Kyzer (Jason) of Lexington; grandchildren; Makayla Anne Kirkland, Kennedy Oneil Kyzer, Peyton Sugar Kyzer; brother, Donald Grigsby (Kathy); and a sister, Ann Motley (Frank). He was predeceased by his wife, and a brother, Owens Grigsby, Jr.
