BATESBURG – Funeral service for Paul Henry Whiteside, Sr., 84, will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Ebenezer Southern Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to KershawHealth Hospice. Mr. Whiteside passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 22, 2015. Born in Winnsboro, he was the son of the late Earl and Agnes Brown Whiteside. He was a member of Ebenezer Sothern Methodist Church and enjoyed fishing. Surviving are his wife, Mary Hall Whiteside; sons, Paul H. Whiteside Jr. (Karen) and Philip Whiteside (Ann); daughter, Debra Simpson (Eddie); step-children, Irvin Oswald (Libby), Marvin Oswald (Pam) and Wayne Oswald (Cindy); 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Mary Whiteside; and a brother, Jack Whiteside.
