CASSATT – A service to celebrate the life of Kenneth “Kenny” Melton, 46, will be held Friday at 5:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The Rev. Marvin Jones and the Rev. Jeff Steen will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4-5 pm. The family will also be receiving friends at the homes of Wayne and Ann Boan or William and Faye Jones. Mr. Melton died Tuesday, September 15, 2015. Born in Hartsville, he was the son of the late Charles and Irene Brown Melton. He enjoyed fishing and taking care of his loving dog, Ranger. Surviving are his grandmother, Lula Mae Steen Melton; step-siblings, Spencer Melton, Lexi Melton, Ryan Melton, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by grandparents, Raymond Melton, Lawrence and Margaret Brown; a sister, Sandra Melton; and a step-brother, J.D. Cotton.
