LUGOFF- A visitation to celebrate the life of William Randy Yancey, 58, will be held Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Yancey passed away Thursday, September 3, 2015. Born in Hinton, W.V., he was the son of the late William D. and Lottie Phillips Yancey. Mr. Yancey worked on the railroad with CSX for 36 years. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was an avid Carolina Gamecocks Fan. Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Ruth “Ruthie” Yancey, daughters, Andrea Yancey of Fredericksburg, VA, Jessica Scott of Lugoff; sister, Becky Matthews (Major) of Princeton, W.V.; niece, Amanda Kay Edwards of Mt. Airy, N.C.; Nephew, Jamie Farmer of Princeton, W.V. and grandchildren, Zachary, Ryan, Breanna, Nicholas, Ally, Mason, Emily and Gage. He was predeceased by a sister, Debra Kay Richmond
