CASSATT – Funeral services for Fulton Leroy Mullis, 70, will be held Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Doug Horton and Tony Poplin will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter. Mr. Mullis passed away Sunday August 30, 2015. Born in Stanly County, N.C., he was a son of the late Barney Benson and Minnie Thomas Mullis. Mr. Mullis was of the Baptist faith. He was a giving person who loved animals and people. He enjoyed watching NASCAR. Surviving are his wife of 20 years, Lynda Mullis; children, Carmia Poplin (Tony), Shelly Beeson (Chris), Candy Frazee (George), Elizabeth Lindsey (Scott), Robert Sennamon (Michele), Konnie Clowers (Corey), Sonya Sennamon (Dexter Curry); 2 brothers; 2 sisters; 19 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by 2 brothers and a sister.
