ELGIN- A funeral service for Leon Wilson, 61, will be held Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Hardshell Cemetery. Minister Ernest D. Murphy will officiate. Mr. Wilson passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2015. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a son of the late Ervin and Josephine Williams Wilson. Mr. Wilson enjoyed watching T.V. and doing yardwork. Surviving are his sister, Barbara Johnson; niece, Stephanie Johnson; great-nephew, Jaden Hayes; and friend, John Hudson.
